September 11 attack fake – Conspiracy Theories Myths

September is an unforgettable month for many people as it evokes memories of the attack on the Twin Towers. The official report states that the Twin Towers collapsed due to immense structural damage caused by the crashing of airplanes into the buildings. Al-Qaeda suicide operatives were responsible for the destruction. However, numerous conspiracy theories attribute the execution of the 9/11 attacks to other causes. Here are six common theories that people believe contributed to this destruction and remain controversial.

1.Conspiracy Theory – Twin towers were collapsed by U.S government

Fact: No, it isn’t

The North American Aerospace Defense Command had the capacity to locate the plane. However, they were allowed to hit their targets without any interference. When the U.S. government officially announced that al-Qaeda was responsible, many people believed it was an inside job. Being a country with significant military forces and no apparent emergency armed response, it was portrayed as a suspiciously perfect attack. A common belief is that the government deliberately ordered their fighter jets to stand down at the time of the crashes. This led people to believe it was to justify the invasion of Iran and Afghanistan to secure oil resources. conspiracy september11

2.Conspiracy Theory – United Airlines 93 was shot down

Fact: No, not true

  • Many reports state that the passengers on Flight 93 struggled to regain control of the plane from the hijackers, which caused the extensive wreckage and the crash into an open field in Pennsylvania. It was the only plane that did not reach its intended target. Some theorized it was shot down by the American government after they learned of the alleged plot. However, the Flight 93 passengers are considered heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country. There is no evidence that Flight 93 was shot down; it crashed due to the commotion created by passengers when they realized America was under attack by terrorists.

3.Conspiracy Theory – Traders knew about the crash

Fact: No, it isn’t

There was a severe crash in the stock market before the attack. Conspiracy theorists believe that traders were given prior information and sold their stocks just before the event. A significant amount of money was placed on the stock of the two airlines that were hijacked during 9/11. Insurance companies saw anonymous trading and made a profit of five million dollars. However, investigations have not found conclusive evidence of widespread insider trading based on foreknowledge of the attacks.

4.Conspiracy Theory – Caused by explosives

Fact: No, it isn’t

Many eyewitnesses reported multiple explosions before the planes crashed. The buildings fell within their own footprint and in a brief period, resembling controlled demolition. Some people claimed there was a massive explosion shooting out from the lower part of the debris. While some argued it was structural demolition caused by fire, this is not the case. It is stated that the fire burned for approximately seven hours in some areas, which, while intense, is not indicative of explosives being used for demolition. The collapse was attributed to the structural damage caused by the impact of the planes and the subsequent intense fires weakening the steel supports.

5.Conspiracy Theory – Missile hit the pentagon

Fact: No, it isn’t

Videos and photos appeared to some not to show evidence of plane wreckage at the Pentagon. When it was said to be hit by Flight 77, some speculated that it was hit by a missile or an unmanned drone. It was also argued that the damage would be too minor if caused by an aircraft. However, extensive evidence, including recovered aircraft parts and eyewitness accounts, confirms that Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. The nature of the impact and subsequent collapse were consistent with a large aircraft.

6.Conspiracy Theory – Hijacked jets were military jets not commercial jets.

Fact: No, not true

Conspiracy theorists claimed that the jets hijacked and used to attack the Twin Towers were actually military jets, not civilian aircraft. There is ample evidence confirming that the jets were indeed civilian airliners and that the hijackings and attacks were real. There is no truth to this myth.

7.Conspiracy Theory – Cruise missiles were used to attack pentagon and twin towers.

Fact: No, not true

Numerous eyewitness reports, scientific evidence, and investigations have proven that the attacks were carried out by hijacked civilian jets. This conspiracy theory is false.

8.Conspiracy Theory – Remote controlled drones.

Fact: No, not true

Some conspiracy theorists claim the attacks were carried out using remote-controlled drones. This theory is unfounded.

9.Conspiracy Theory – World trade center was professionally demolished.

Fact: No, not true

All evidence, media coverage, and investigations have proven this was a pre-planned terrorist attack by al-Qaeda operatives. This theory is false.

10.Conspiracy Theory – American air defences were shut down to facilitate the attack.

Fact: No, not true

The U.S. government, CIA, and the entire U.S. intelligence community were taken by surprise by this attack. No one had prior knowledge that this was going to happen. There is no proof to back this conspiracy theory.

11.Conspiracy Theory – Flight 93 was shot down over Shanksville, Pennsylvania, by an A-10 Thunderbolt II.

Fact: No, not true

This theory is completely false.

12.Conspiracy Theory – Arising dust because of collapse was caused by explosion or controlled demolition.

Fact: No, not true

Numerous articles by professors and scientists explain why the Twin Towers collapsed. The primary reason was that the intense fire from the jet fuel weakened the steel beams and columns near the impact zones. The rapid fall of a massive amount of concrete created a cloud of dust, which fueled conspiracy theorists’ claims.

13.Conspiracy TheoryThe plane that hit the second tower was carrying a bomb based on some photographic evidence:

Fact: No, not true

This is a fake theory. Many photographs were too vague and this leads conspiracy theorists to use their own imaginations.

14.Conspiracy Theory – Two commercial jets cannot bring down two well constructed towers.

Fact: No, not true

Many conspiracy theories have claimed that it is impossible for commercial jets to bring down the Twin Towers. However, after detailed investigations by multiple agencies, it has been confirmed that the impacts and subsequent fires caused by two planes could indeed bring down the towers due to structural engineering vulnerabilities. Although these flaws were not deliberate, they were exploited by the terrorists.

15.Conspiracy Theory – Twin towers were brought down almost at the same time using controlled demolitions.

Fact: No, not true

Professors and investigators contend that it’s not surprising that the collapse-time estimates are close to would-be free-fall results. In “Why Did the World Trade Center Collapse? Science, Engineering, and Speculation,” Thomas W. Eagar, the Thomas Lord Professor of Materials Engineering and Engineering Systems at MIT, estimated each tower fell “within ten seconds.” His analysis explains that as exterior columns buckled and joists on the most heavily burned floors gave way, the mass of the collapsing floors created a cascade of failures. “The floor below (with its 1,300-ton design capacity) could not support the roughly 45,000 tons of ten floors (or more) above crashing down,” he wrote. “This started the domino effect that caused the buildings to collapse within ten seconds, hitting bottom with an estimated speed of 200 kilometers per hour (125 miles per hour).”

16.Conspiracy Theory – Attack on the pentagon was to hide secrets and evidence about the 9/11 attack.

Fact: No, not true

There is no evidence to back this theory. This conspiracy theory is not true.

17.Conspiracy Theory – Larry Silverstein who leased the World trade center admitted bringing down the towers.

Fact: No, not true

Conspiracy theorists claim the towers were brought down by Larry Silverstein. This claim arose after an interview he gave was misquoted. This conspiracy theory is false.

18.Conspiracy Theory – World trade center debris was removed quickly to avoid evidence of a government cover up.

Fact: No, not true

This is just another imaginary theory by conspiracy theorists. Debris was removed systematically and stored in various scrap yards across the USA.

19.Conspiracy Theory – Pentagon damage not consistant with a civilian plane attack.

Fact: No, not true

Extensive research has been conducted to establish the source of the attack and its impact on the building. All evidence concluded that the attack was carried out by terrorists using a civilian plane. This theory is debunked.

  1. The September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11,[d] were four coordinated suicide terrorist attacks carried out by the militant Islamic extremist network al-Qaeda[2][3][4] against the United States on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. That morning, nineteen terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners scheduled to travel from the Northeastern United States to California. The hijackers crashed the first two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and the third plane into the Pentagon (the headquarters of the American military) in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth plane was intended to hit a federal government building[e] in Washington, D.C., but crashed in a field following a passenger revolt.[5] The attacks killed nearly 3,000 people and instigated the global war on terror.

  2. We know the twin towers got hit, the conspiracy is most probably a cover up of incompetency. Imagine the Dept of Defense saying they shot the pentagon with a missile by accident trying to take down a plane. They probably also shot down the Pennsylvania plane. It would make more sense than anything else just to prevent additional fatalities. They could have a missile rip a wing, which is what the wreckage looked like.

  4. This author is intelligent, well informed and has done his research. well worth reading.

  5. I’m not going to say I know for sure 100 percent what happened, but I have a question to those who think it was a missile that hit the pentagon.

Why would they use actual planes on the twin towers then use a missile on the pentagon and claim it was a plane? Why not just use another plane? Did they run out of frequent flyer miles?

  6. That the twin towers and pentagon were attacked by the US government. That the controlled fall off the towers had nothing to do with the airplanes that hit them. That the airplane that hit the pentagon was, in fact, a missile.
