- There are ample number of witnesses who stated there was a bright light approaching the plane just before the explosion. Some witnesses stated it may be the missile or the rocket, while some stated that it looked like fireworks or the flare going toward the plane.
- Lot of suspicious incidents happened in America before the plane crash. The series of terrorism started in the year 1988. The Pan Am Flight 103 exploded by the Libyan National Baset Ali Mohames al Megrah, which took the lives of 270 people. The second bomb blast happened in the World Trading Center in 1993 that cost 6 lives. The series continued in all parts including Oklahoma city, the blast killed 168 people. - According to the investigation done by the NTSB, they closed the investigation that the cause of the accident was due to the explosion of flammable fuel vapours in the central fuel tank. Yet there are many conspiracies aroused that it is caused by aliens or by the supernatural powers. Some people and the conspiracy theorist who witnessed the explosion claimed that the strange object which moved up and down targeted the plane and thus the explosion happened. Although there are no explanations for the people’s witness, the investigators claimed that the main cause of the accident occured only due to the short circuit. As per the evidence that there was a problem in the wiring and arcing( electrical breakdown in the circuit) in the fuel quantity indication system, it is determined that the ignition started due to the short circuit.

Mr. Pierre Salinger, JFK’s former press spokesman said that the US secret service gave him a document about the explosion. He said that the Plane was shot down by the navy accidentally when they were carrying out the missile tests. This theory is said to be a hoax, as it is not true.
Conspiracy Theory – The crash happened due to the on-board bomb:

- Former pilot said that there may be mechanical failure or any malfunction that usually happens in all other flights. Yet it is not so in this case. Planes explode in the midair only when there is a bomb on-board is the claim that was stated by pilots, thus many people believe that the investigations were faked.
- Blast holes which were found in the surface of the airplane’s structure had almost 196 blasts, which cannot be caused by the mechanical failure. Conspiracy theorists believed that a bomb made with high energy explosives penetrated the metal at high speed.
- Later in the investigation report given by NTSB stated that the holes occured at low velocity and no sign of melted or resolidified metal was identified in the plane. This gives the conclusion that it was not caused by a bomb. If it was a bomb, it would have caused deformations and holes at high velocity. Hence this theory was debunked.
Even after all these years, many people still believe that the conclusion was just a cover up.
